Our favourite Singers; Billie Eilish and Post Malone won big at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards which aired live on Wednesday night from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
In her third run as event host, Kelly Clarkson kicked things off with a stunning rendition of Whitney Houston’s “Higher Love,” featuring Pentatonix, percussionist Sheila E. and a virtual choir.
Later in the evening, Cher presented Garth Brooks with this year’s icon award, while Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms presented Killer Mike with the inaugural Billboard Change Maker Award, commemorating his social activism amid the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement, Billboard magazine reported.
Post Malone led the nominations with 16, followed by Lil Nas X with 13, while Billie Eilish and Khalid tied with 12 nods each. Cardi B took home the Top Rap Female Rapper Award.
The list of talented artists spanned every conceivable genre and combination.
